卒部式 Farewell Ceremony
今日は卒業生（阿久根、市川、中田、中野、村田）の卒業と卒部と祝って、朝から１、２年生と卒部試合を行い、昼食は中学生も混ざってピザを注文し、午後から卒部式を行った。卒部試合で３年生が１、２年生とダブルスを組み団体戦を行った。１、２年生は３年生との最後のテニスを全力でプレーし、３年生から学んだテニスの知識・技術を存分に発揮していた。３年生は３年間過ごした学校のテニスコートでの最後の試合を存分に楽しみ、別れを告げた。普段は真剣な表情と緊張感であふれるテニスコートだがこの日ばかりは笑顔と笑い声に満ちていた。昼食時では大量に注文したつもりであったピザではあったが、食べ盛りの中高生の前では一瞬にしてなくなってしまった。中学生も混ざって楽しい時間を過ごすことができた。午後からの卒部式では、高校２年生が５人の３年生に対してそれぞれ手紙を読み、涙で言葉にならない場面もあった。今までずっと３年生に引っ張ってきてもらい、３年生にあこがれ追い続けてきた２年生の感謝の気持ちに満ちていた。今までたよりなかった２年生の成長を感じた瞬間でもあった。高校３年生に面倒を見てもらってきた中学１、２年生からも代表者が高３生に対してメッセージが送られた。年の離れたまだまだ幼い彼らであるが、彼らなりに高３生に対しての感謝と尊敬の気持ちを表すことができた。最後に３年生から一人ずつメッセージが話された。それぞれ今までお世話になった両親、先生、そして一緒に過ごしてきた後輩たちへの感謝の気持ちを述べた。彼らのスピーチから、彼らがどれほどこの３年間で人として成長したのか、そして彼らの周りの人々に対する深い感謝の気持ちが強く伝わってきた。涙と達成感にあふれ、高３生の今までの功績をたたえ、またこれからの成長と活躍を祈願する式となった。高３生は今後それぞれ別の道を歩むことになるが、今までの経験を生かし、次の目標に向かって全力投球してほしい。そしてクラブを通して培ってきた仲間との絆をこれからも大切にしていてってほしい。またいつでも高校に戻ってきてテニスを後輩としたり、後輩や先生にみんなの話を聞かせてほしい。在校生は高３生から今まで学んだことを生かして、彼らに追いつき越えられるような成長を遂げてほしい。
本日は多くの卒業生・在校生の保護者・ＯＢの方々にお集まりいただき本当にありがとうございました。今日を持ちまして３年生は卒部いたしましたが、これまで本当に長い間高校男子テニス部を応援、サポートしていただき本当にありがとうございました。生徒たちの成長した姿をお見せすることができ本当によかったと思います。今後とも本校男子テニス部をよろしくお願いいたします。
The farewell ceremony for the 3rd-year boys took place today. The five 3rd-year boys played doubles matches with the 1st and 2nd-year boys. It was the last day for the 3rd-years to play on the courts, where they had spent three years playing tennis day in day out. They enjoyed their last tennis there remembering many of the memories they had had on these courts. For the 1st and 2nd-year boys, it was their last time to play tennis with the 3rd graders, from whom they had learned so much about not only how to play tennis but how to behave. These courts, which are usually full of serious faces and tension, were filled with laughter and smiling faces today.
We ordered pizza for lunch. We had the junior high boys over as well. We ordered tons of pizza, but it was no match against the appetite of the fast-growing boys. It all disappeared in no time...lol. They all had a fun time eating and chatting together.
In the afternoon, the ceremony took place. The 2nd-year boys prepared letters for each of the five boys who were departing. Their letters were full of their appreciation and respect for the 3rd-year boys. Many of them broke into tears while reading the letters to the 3rd-years, remembering all the momembers they had spent with their seniors. Then, the representatives of the junior high tennis team presented the 3rd-year boys with their thanks-cards. Their short-speeches showed their gratitude to the third-years, who had been taking care of the junior high school boys for many months. Finally, each of the five third-year boys gave a speech to express their gratitude to their parents, teachers and juniors. Their speeches were all very touching and emotional. They reminded us how much they had grown and how far they had come.
The ceremony turned out to be as great as it could be, full of tears and feelings of achivement. I'd like to thank them for everything they have done and left for the boys' tennis team. I'd like to wish them the very best whatever they will do in the next stage of their life. I'd also like to thank the parents and former members of the team for comining to the ceremony. Their support for the team has always been an essential part for the boys. Without their support, nothing would have been possible. I'd appreciate their continuous support for the team.
