私学大会１日目

太陽が丘にて京都府私立高校テニス大会が行われた。この大会はシングルス１本、ダブルス２本の団体形式で行われ、今年で２回目の大会となった。近畿私学大会の予選も兼ねており上位２校が１２月に行われる近畿大会に出場することができる。本校テニス部は１回戦から第１シードの東山高校が相手と厳しいドローとなった。結局ダブルスでは競った場面もあったものの0-3で敗退となった。ダブルスでは格上の相手に積極的なプレーも見られ、チャンスもあったが、ここぞという場面でミスが出てしまい、相手にプレッシャーをかけることができなかった。シングルスでは相手と状況に飲まれてしまい力が全く出せなかった。敗れはしたものの来月後半に行われる全国選抜の府予選に向けてやらなければいけないことがより明確になった。今年のチームはポイントが少ないのでシード順位も低くなる見通して厳しいドローが予想されるが、その逆境を力に変え、上位シードの学校を打ち破ってほしい。今日の試合には学校のそばにある太陽が丘で行われたこともあり、中学生部員も応援と観戦に駆けつけた。高校生の団体戦の緊張感とレベルの高さを肌で感じることができ、モチベーションを上げることができたと思う。これからの練習に今日見たこと、学んだことを生かしてほしい。

明日はBチームの試合が行われる。普段あまり試合に出ることができていないメンバーの試合となる。この機会を最大限に生かし、自信と経験につなげてほしい。

私学大会1日目結果（メンバー：網干、大東、木村、中家、岩瀬）

1回戦　立命館宇治　0-3(S:0-6, D1:4-6, D2:3-6) 東山（第1シード）

We partiicpated in a tournament for private schools in Kyoto.  This tournament is a team competition with three points of one singles and two doubles matches.  We had a tough draw of facing the top seed Higashiyama High School in the first round.  We had comeptitive mathces in doubles but ended up losing all three matches.  Although we lost, there were many positives in the boys' performances.  It seems that the gap between us and the top players has narrowed a bit.  This is an encouranging sign particularly consiering that Senbatsu Yosen, which is one of the most important tournaments of the year, is only a month away.  I hope the boys will work on the problems that were found in today's matches and do well in the tournmanet next month.
