近畿大会京都府２次予選１日目
近畿大会の京都府２次予選が向島西テニスコートで行われた。本校からシングルス２名、ダブルス２名が出場し、シングルスで網干が１，２回戦を勝ち上がり近畿大会の出場権を獲得した。ダブルスでは残念ながらシードを守ることができる近畿大会出場はならなかった。上位の選手と比べて試合中に余裕がなくあせりから無駄なミスを繰り返す場面が多く見られた。試合中の余裕とは今までの試合で勝っている経験と自信から生まれるものではあり身につけるのは簡単ではないが、たとて経験や自信がなくてももっと思い切ったプレーを今後の試合で期待したい。試合の中で失われるものを考えるのではなく、その試合の中で負けても成長するという強い気持ちを持ってプレーしてほしい。その中から勝利や経験を積み重ねていけるはずである。勇気のいることではあるが、負けることを恐れるのではなく、貪欲に勝ちを追いかける姿勢を見たい。明日はシングルスの３回戦が行われる上位シードの選手との対戦となるので、自分の持っているものを出し切った試合を期待したい。本日も暑い中多くの保護者の方々に応援に来ていただきありがとうございました。今後もよろしくお願いいたします。

The second stage of the quaulifying tournament for Kinki Taikai took place today. One boy reached the third round of the singles competition and gained a ticket for Kinki Taikai. Unfortunately, no pair made it to Kinki Taikai in doubles after one pair failed to live up to their seeding. The boy who is still in the tournament will play the third round match tomorrow. He faces the second seed, so he will have nothing to lose. I hope he will bring out the best in him in the match whether winning or losing. The overall result may have been far from satisfactory, but there were a few positives to take home in those losses. There's no reason to be down. We will continue to make our best efforts to go higher.
