中学生練習試合/JH Practice Matches

中学男子テニス部は女子テニス部とともに奈良県浄化センターテニスコートでの合同練習試合に呼んでいただき、奈良学園中学、大阪・浪速中学、取石中学男子テニス部と練習試合を行った。各学校同士で団体戦形式で試合を行った後、個人戦形式での試合を行った。本校中学男子テニス部は３対戦とも敗れてしまったが、夏の団体戦に向けて気持ちを高めていくための貴重な経験となった。経験、技術、体力的にも力不足を痛感する結果となったが、チームとしても個人としても今後の練習で取り組んでいかなければいけないことが前よりも明確になった。練習で技術は上がってきているものの、中学テニス部員は実践経験がまだまだ浅い。今後もこのような機会を作っていき、実践経験を増やしていきたい。負けてしまったことは残念ではあるが、この悔しさばねに練習に励み、次の機会には勝利を期待したい。ゴールデンウィーク明けからは高校最後の試合を終えた高校３年生部員が練習のサポートに加わってくれる。先輩に技術的な指導とヒッティングの相手などをしてもらえる環境を最大限に生かしてもらいたい。

The junior high school team had practice matches with three other schools in Nara.  They played team competitions as well as individual matches.  Although they ended up losing to all three schools in team competition, there were many things they could lean from those matches.  It may not have been easy for the boys to accept the losses, but they need the tough experience to realize what they need to work on to become stronger as tennis players.  I'm positive that it only made them more motivated and eager to work harder.  They're going to have a very important team tournament in a few months.   I will try to create more opportunities like today to help the boys become match-tough and prepare for the tournament.  Now that the Golden Week is behind, the high school third-year boys who have finished their last tournament will start helping the junior high team directly.  They will give a lot of technical advice to the JH boys in addition to hitting with them.  The JH boys should take full adatange of those opportunities.
