京都ジュニア予選② Kyoto Junior Qualifying Round Day 2

昨日に引き続き京都ジュニアの１８歳以下シングルスの予選が行われ、６人（大東、迫、田中信、中家、森田、山根）が出場し、うち４人が予選を突破し本戦への出場を決めた。勝てる試合で負けてしまった選手もおり、試合の結果を左右するような大事なポイントの戦い方に課題が残った。練習から試合を意識し、緊張感を持って１球１球をプレーすることが求められる。明日はダブルスの予選が行われる。１６歳以下の予選も始まる。中学生の成長に期待したい。

The qualifying round of the 18 or under singles category continued today.   Six boys played and four of them qualified for the main draw.  Some of the boys lost matches they should have won.  In a match that could go either way, your mental strength of plays a big part in deciding the outcome of the match.  What matters is how well or badly you play on key points.  It's important to play every point in practice as if you were playing in a big match.   The qualifying round of the 16 or under catergory is going to start tomorrow.  I hope the junior high boys will show their growth and improvement in their matches.
