高３中学生との最後の練習 Last Practice with Junior High Team for Third-Years

今日は高校３年生が高校生として中学生を指導する最後の練習となった。最後の日は今まで毎日中学生の練習を中心となって指導してくれた阿久根と中田が来てくれた。去年の夏高３生が中学生男子テニス部を指導するようになってから約8か月が経過した。この8か月の間に中学男子テニス部は大きく発展を遂げた。今日の練習の最後に阿久根と中田から中学生に向けてのメッセージがあった。2人のメッセージから彼らの中学生に対する熱い思いが伝わってきた。同時に、２人がこの３年間でいかに成長したのかを強く感じさせてくれるものであった。２人とそしてその他の高３部員の思いは必ずや中学生の心に届き、彼らのさらなる努力と成長を促してくれると確信している。明日は高校の卒業式が挙行される。後輩のみんなは先輩たちの門出を盛大に祝福してほしい。

Today was the last day for the third-year boys to teach the junior high school boys' tennis team.  Two of the third-year students came and helped the junior high boys.  It has been about eight months since they started taking care of the junior high team last summer.  Thanks to their dedication, the junior high tennis team has made great progress in many ways.  At the end of the practice, the two third-year boys spoke to the junior high school students.  Their speeches showed how much they cared about the junior high boys.  They also showed how much the two had grown not only as tennis players but also as individuals over the three years.  They looked mature and confident.  Their strong and meaningful messages surely reached the junior high boys' hearts and encouraged them to make more effort and grow more.  Tomorrow, the high school graduation ceremony is going to take place.  I believe their juniors on the high school and junior high school teams will celebrate their graduation magnificently.
