部内戦 Ranking Matches

予定されていた京都ウインタージュニアが先日の積雪のため中止になったため、１１日の午前中は部内戦を行った。約１か月ぶりの部内戦となったが、練習の成果が随所に見られる試合が多かった。ただ技術的には向上しているものの、まだ展開の中で各ショットの使い方に問題の多いプレーが目立った。技術の向上を継続する中で、ポイントの取り方、試合の勝ち方をもっと意識した練習の必要性を感じた。午後からは久しぶりに３年生の中田、阿久根、村田が参加してくれ、ダブルスの練習を中心に行ったが、おかげで普段より活気のある質の高い練習ができた。改めて３年生の存在の大きさを感じることのできた日であった。卒業まで１か月を切ったが、大好きなテニスを楽しむ意味でも、後輩のためにも、今後も遠慮なく参加してほしい。

Kyoto Winter Junior Tournament was scheduled today, but due to the heavy snow a couple days ago, the tournament itself was called off altogether.  So we had ranking matches within the team instead.  There were many matches where some progress could be seen.  However, many of the boys are still figuring out how to use their shots.  Their skills have been improving, but they need to learn to use them effectively.  Three of the third-year members joined practice in the afternoon.  We mainly practiced doubles. I was reminded yet again how important and influential the presence of the third-year boys is.  They're less than a month away from gratuating.  I hope that they will continue to come and help their juniors out whenever they have time and I want them to enjoy playing tennis as well.  The above list is the new ranking list after the matches.
